He was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. Eric started his music career by uploading popular song covers onto Youtube His cover 2ne1’s “Lonely” gained recognition by the MBC, this helped him gain entry of becoming a contestant on the Korean show "Birth of a Great Star 2”. He placed in the Top 5, giving him a chance to his (entertainment) career in Korea. He debuted on January 23, 2013, with the release of his mini-album “Cloud 9”, and title track “Heaven’s Door”.
