Park Soo Young, known by the stage name Joy, is a South Korean singer, actress, and a member of the K-pop group Red Velvet. She auditioned and was cast by S.M. Entertainment at the S.M. Global Audition in Seoul in 2012. She graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul in February 2015.

In 2015, Joy gained public interest by joining the fourth season of the reality show "We Got Married", where she was paired with BTOB member Yook Sung Jae. The two won Best Couple at the MBC Entertainment Awards, with Joy also winning the award for 2015's New Star of the Year.

In 2017, Joy made her acting debut as the female lead in tvN's music series "The Liar and His Lover" and won the Newcomer Award at the OSEN Cable TV Awards that year. In 2018, Joy was cast as the female lead in the MBC drama "Tempted" and went on to be nominated for Best Actress and Rookie of The Year at the MBC Drama Awards and the Popularity Award (Drama Actress Category) at The Seoul Awards.
